12/10/2013Westinghouse Continues to Serve Leibstadt Nuclear Power Station Fuel Needs in Switzerland
Westinghouse Electric Company today announced that Kernkraftwerk Leibstadt AG has decided to extend its fuel contract with Westinghouse for manufacturing and delivery of reload fuel to the nuclear power plant in Leibstadt, Switzerland. As a result of the decision, the existing contract (including five reload deliveries in the years 2011-2015) is extended for two additional reload deliveries in 2016 and 2017.

Summer Unit 3. Nearly 500 people worked 43 hours and 25 minutes this weekend, continuously pouring concrete. Thanks to the lessons we learned from the Unit 2 concrete pour and also from our other construction projects, we were able to complete this milestone safely and even more efficiently. I am proud of the dedication of our team as we work together to deliver these two AP1000® units for South Carolina Electric & Gas (SCE&G) and Santee Cooper.
