PaR Nuclear, Inc. Begins Doing Business as Westinghouse; Peter D. Adams Appointed Director
Westinghouse Electric Company subsidiary PaR Nuclear, Inc., today announced that it will begin doing business as Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, effective immediately. The change will align PaR Nuclear more closely and clearly within the Westinghouse Electric Company organization and brand.

Westinghouse Electric Company today announced that it has completed the manufacturing and assembly of two nuclear fuel test assemblies for the Westinghouse Small Modular Reactor (SMR) at its Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility in Columbia, South Carolina.

Westinghouse Electric Company today announced that it has appointed Douglas Weaver as vice president, Nuclear Regulatory Affairs. In this position, Mr. Weaver will be responsible for maintaining superior relationships with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), its staff who license and regulate the nation’s commercial nuclear power plants and fuel cycle facilities, and other regulatory stakeholders.

Westinghouse Electric Company today announced that it has appointed Jeffrey Benjamin as senior vice president, Nuclear Power Plants, effective May 31. In this position, Mr. Benjamin will lead Westinghouse efforts to meet existing new plant customer needs and further develop new plant opportunities.

Westinghouse Appoints Mark Marano President Americas Region
Westinghouse Electric Company today announced that it has appointed Mark Marano to the position of president, Americas Region, effective May 31. In his new position, Mr. Marano will be responsible for customer relationships, business plan development, and project and product delivery in the Americas Region. He will also work closely with Westinghouse Nuclear Automation, Nuclear Fuel, Nuclear Power Plants and Nuclear Services product lines to expand business and market share throughout the Region.

Westinghouse Signs Services Contract with Accenture
Westinghouse Electric Company today announced that it has signed a Sourcing and Procurement Services agreement with the global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company Accenture. The agreement will include Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services including Category Management, Transactional Procurement Operations (TPO), Accounts Payable – Invoice Processing, and the implementation of the Ariba eProcurement toolset.

Westinghouse and State Nuclear Power Technology Corp. Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Develop, Deploy Small Modular Reactor Technology
Westinghouse Electric Company and State Nuclear Power Technology Corp. (SNPTC) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a partnership that would enable the two companies to work together to develop a Small Modular Reactor (SMR) standard design, based on the Westinghouse Small Modular Reactor technology, that shall be licensable both in the U.S. and China.
