Past material science engineering interns have designed test fixtures and systems to measure primary water leak rates of hydraulically-expanded steam generator tubing at the tube-to-tubesheet interface. Also, the interns have conducted detailed measurements of crack growth for a number of materials tested in primary water with various chemical compositions.
