Community and Education

Westinghouse is committed to serving the communities where our employees live, work and do business.

Westinghouse employees participate in a broad range of community service initiatives in more than 18 countries. From fundraising to serving in public office to coaching in youth and recreation programs, Westinghouse appreciates the contributions our employees make.

We recognize the employees who contribute outstanding personal service to their communities with the annual Westinghouse Community Service Award and award a grant to a nonprofit organization of the employees' choice.

Westinghouse employees also participate in other outreach activities in the communities where they live and work through United Way Days of Caring and department team building activities. We also hold an annual United Way Campaign in the fall, and have raised almost one-million dollars through employee pledges, corporate donations and activities.

In addition, many employees find time to mentor young people, serve on local boards and volunteer in a wide range of other ways after business hours or during the weekends. We are proud of our employees’ generosity with their time and commitment to the communities where they live and work.
