Anthony D. Greco

Senior Vice President,
Human Resources and Corporate Relations

Anthony D. Greco is responsible for human resources, media relations/communications, government affairs (U.S. & European Union), facilities and real estate, and provides executive leadership for global organizational integration efforts. He was appointed to this position in 1999.

From 2004 to the present, Mr. Greco served as a senior member of the executive staff in leading the business during a period of unprecedented growth. During 2005–2010, he led the effort to recruit more than 5000 new employees. Through his leadership, Westinghouse also embarked upon a major assessment of facilities needs which led to a multi-state search for office space. This search resulted in the construction of a new headquarters and engineering center in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, a northern Pittsburgh suburb. This office complex will house 5000 employees in 1.2 million square feet.

During 2003—2006, he led the effort to secure U.S. Government support for a multi-billion dollar nuclear plants project in the Peoples Republic of China. In 2006, Westinghouse contracted to build four new plants in China, and the U.S. government signed an MOU on nuclear energy cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. Greco also teamed with a core group of executives at Westinghouse who led the organization through two changes in ownership in the last decade. In 1999 he was a key executive in the sale of the Westinghouse nuclear business to BNFL plc. maintaining employee stability while realizing value for both companies’ shareholders.

After this ownership change, he led the effort in realigning the organization and leading change in the business. His leadership spanned the establishment of stand-alone U.S. employee benefit programs, consolidation and disposition of a major facility and planning human resources strategies relating to the acquisition of the former ABB nuclear businesses in 2001.

In 2006, Westinghouse was sold to a consortium led by the Toshiba Corporation. Subsequent to this sale, he led organizational change efforts to develop strong working relationships between a number of culturally diverse organizations.

From 1996 through 1999, Mr. Greco was vice president of human resources for the former CBS/Westinghouse energy businesses. During this period, Westinghouse transitioned to a pure play media company and Mr. Greco assisted in the disposition of the Westinghouse energy businesses to Siemens, Emerson and Morrison Knudson.

When Mr. Greco was vice president of organization & leadership development in the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, he took the lead in executive assessment, staffing and development, recommending and implementing high-level organizational change efforts.

From 1978 through 1995, Mr. Greco served as corporate director, executive compensation; vice president, human resources and communication; assistant director, corporate compensation; and division human resources manager with the Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Before he joined Westinghouse, Mr. Greco was a member of the corporate audit staff for the GTE Corporation.

Mr. Greco holds a B.S. in accounting and finance from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from the Syracuse University Graduate School of Business.
