Strategy
Joseph Belechak leads the development of corporate strategy and business planning, and is responsible for coordination and alignment of planning with Toshiba Corporation, the principal owner of Westinghouse. In this role he serves as the chief strategic officer of the company.
Mr. Belechak previously served as President of Transformation Services, LLC, a strategic management consulting firm he founded in 2007. Prior to that he was Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Duquesne Light Company, a $1.7B energy company serving the Pittsburgh region, where he led the electric utility operations and the unregulated landfill gas, communications and energy services businesses. He is a transformational leader and has created value for stakeholders throughout his 25 years of experience in the energy (nuclear, electric and gas), consulting, energy services, and communications industries.
Mr. Belechak is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Business School. He also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a
bachelor’s degree in civil engineering/industrial management/economics from Carnegie Mellon University.
