Masayoshi Hirata leads Westinghouse Electric Company’s financial operations, treasury, information technology and shared services organizations.

Mr. Hirata is a graduate of Yokahama City University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics. He joined Westinghouse in 2010 after working for Toshiba Corporation since 1981. Mr. Hirata has assumed roles of increasing responsibility throughout his Toshiba career, mainly in cost accounting and financial planning as well as the development and application of Toshiba Group standards in these areas.

His Toshiba experience includes tenure as General Manager for the Planning Group, Senior Manager for the Finance Division in Keihin Works, Manager for the Finance Division of Toshiba Digital Media Company, Manager and interim CFO of Toshiba Information Systems U.K., and Deputy Manager of Control & Analysis Group. His most recent Toshiba position prior to joining Westinghouse was Assistant General Manager for the Control & Analysis Group in the Finance & Accounting Division. In this role, Mr. Hirata was responsible for the overall analysis of Toshiba Group’s financial reporting and accounting.
