Shigenori Shiga is responsible for coordination between Westinghouse and Toshiba to realize synergy effects and expand the Westinghouse business. He was appointed to this position in December 2006. Mr. Shiga also is vice president and general manager of the Westinghouse Coordination Division of Toshiba Corporation Power Systems Company.

Prior to his appointment, he served as senior manager of nuclear business development, plant project engineering department and system engineering department of Toshiba Corporation Industrial and Power Systems & Services Company’s Nuclear Energy Division.

He has 26 years of experience in engineering and project management for the nuclear industry with Toshiba Corporation. He has been highly active in nuclear plant project management and NSSS design and engineering throughout his career, particularly in leading reactor components design and engineering efforts. Mr. Shiga graduated from Tohoku University in 1979 with a master’s degree in nuclear engineering.
