		2000 Commercial nuclear power businesses of ABB purchased by BNFL and integrated into Westinghouse Electric Company. Westinghouse receives Design Certification from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on the AP600, an advanced passive pressurized water reactor.
		2002 Contracts in excess of $350 million signed to support construction of four new nuclear power plants in Korea. 2006 Westinghouse’s AP1000 becomes the first Generation III+ pressurized water reactor to receive Design Certification from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Contracts valued at more than $300 million signed to support construction of two new nuclear power plants in Korea. Toshiba Corp. and its partners, The Shaw Group and IHI, acquire Westinghouse from BNFL. 2007 Westinghouse and The Shaw Group sign landmark, multibillion-dollar contracts to provide four AP1000 nuclear power plants in China.
