WESTINGHOUSE APPOINTS TARIK CHOHO TO EMEA EXECUTIVE POST

Cranberry Township, Pa. – Aug. 20, 2019 – Today, Westinghouse Electric announced that Tarik Choho has been appointed president of the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Operating Plant Services Business Unit. In this role, Choho will lead Westinghouse’s customer-focused business unit, serving the existing nuclear operating fleet customers within the region.

Choho brings more than 25 years of energy industry experience to Westinghouse. Previously, as the chief commercial officer of AREVA Group, Choho led the company’s marketing and business development globally, as well as their EMEA business. Prior to leading the company’s commercial organization, he held a series of technical and leadership positions within AREVA’s fuel recycling, nuclear material transportation and storage, fuel engineering and sales, mining and enrichment businesses throughout the United States, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Following his tenure at AREVA, Choho became a managing director and member of the management board of OCP Group, a world leader in phosphate-based fertilizers. While at OCP, Choho led the company’s commercial, strategy and development of group activities worldwide. Under his leadership, OCP established 17 subsidiaries around the globe, including opening new markets in Africa.

Choho is a graduate engineer in process engineering from École Polytechnique de Paris and in mechanical engineering from École Nationale Supérieure des Techniques Avancées (ENSTA) and holds a master’s degree in mathematics and automatics from Université Paris Dauphine as well as an executive business management degree from INSEAD.

Choho will be based out of Paris, France.
