After the shipment of the three items (2 CMT - Core Makeup Tank and 1 PRZ - Pressurizer) we can consider as completed the order acquired by Mangiarotti S.p.A. regarding the construction of two new power plants AP1000 located in two different Countries of the United States (Georgia and South Carolina).
On July 20th the items were moved through special self-propelled trailers that are gone directly to the dock of the Port of Monfalcone, thanks to the direct access owned by the company, and finally loaded onto the cargo ship BBC. The two CMT components are carbon steel tanks plated with stainless steel, 7 meters long with a total weight of over 250 tons that serve as borated water tank which is introduced in the cooling circuit in case of accidents (passive system). Instead, the PRZ is a component that is 13 meters long with a total weight of 100 tons. With this shipment this important order is considered complete, with the exception of the 4 PRHR (Passive Residual Heat Removal) that are nearing completion and will be shipped by next year. The first shipments of components for these plants started in September 2013 and are now planning additional piping components for which orders were acquired in January of this year.
Con la spedizione dei tre componenti (2 CMT – Core Make-up Tank e 1 PRZ – Pressurizer) si può considerare conclusa la Commessa acquisita da Mangiarotti S.p.A. relativa alla costruzione di 2 nuove centrali AP1000 situate in due diverse Nazioni degli Stati Uniti (Georgia e South Carolina).
Il giorno 20 Luglio sono stati trasportati gli items tramite degli appositi carrelli che sono arrivati direttamente alla banchina del Porto di Monfalcone, grazie all’accesso diretto di cui gode l’azienda, ed alla fine caricati sulla nave cargo BBC. I due componenti CMT sono dei serbatoi in acciaio al carbonio placcate in acciaio inossidabile lunghe 7 metri e dal peso complessivo di oltre 250 tonnellate, fungono da serbatoi dell’acqua borata che viene immessa nel circuito di refrigerazione in caso di incidenti (sistema passivo). Invece, il PRZ è un componente lungo 13 metri, dal peso complessivo di 100 tonnellate. Con questa spedizione si considera conclusa questa importante Commessa, ad eccezione dei 4 PRHR (Passive Residual Heat Removal) che sono in fase di ultimazione e che verranno consegnati entro il prossimo anno. Le prime spedizioni di componenti per queste centrali risalgono a Settembre 2013 ed ora sono in progettazione ulteriori componenti di piping per i quali sono stati acquisiti gli ordini a Gennaio di quest'anno.
