Springfields has been committed to providing quality apprentice training since 1950.
Our apprenticeships are based on national standards, fully monitored and apprentices are trained to NVQ level 3 in either:
-
Level 3 Electrical & Instrumentation
-
Level 3 Mechanical
-
Level 3 Process
-
Level 3 Laboratory Technician
The apprenticeships are aimed at people of both genders with good academic qualifications - a minimum four GCSE’s at C/4 or above in Maths, English and Science. Applicants should have an engineering aptitude and enjoy problem solving.
Your apprenticeship will equip you with the necessary skills to be part of Springfields’ future and give you the opportunity to earn at the same time as you learn. This will give you the chance of a first class start to a career in engineering and a trade which can sustain you for life.
The apprenticeship begins with studying basic engineering and craft skills to NVQ level 2 on a six months foundation course. Further training includes specialised programmes covering a wide range of skills in the chosen discipline and attending college to study for a technical certificate on day release.
Throughout the third and fourth years your training plan will allow you to carry out specific tasks during plant placements. This will give you the knowledge and practical experience you require, under the guidance of skilled craftsmen.
